KBAC is the most relevant station in Santa Fe. With 20+ years heritage and a music leader, KBAC is a favorite for thousands of locals. KBAC is the “mover and shaker” radio station.
Our brands are seen across all available media platforms in Northern New Mexico including internet, bus boards, print, digital screen advertising and good old-fashion “shaking hands and kissing babies.” See how we do it
The Big Show with Honey Harris, the DJ diva of the City Different, starts your day not only playing a wide selection of music, she hosts a guest list as heterogenous as her humor.
Michelle has called Santa Fe home for almost 20 years. As the midday host, Michelle digs the opportunity to play the kind of music that’ll get your booty shakin’ and make your day a little groovier.
Chris Diestler (or “The Mighty D” or “Toast”) first came to work at KBAC in 2001 after guest hosting on “Desert Island.” For the curious, his #1 Desert Island album was “Live at the Fillmore East” by the Allman Brothers Band. His love of music radio began in his teenage years, and he studied professional broadcasting once he got to college. He’s especially fond of KBAC’s “format without a format” and loves discovering new music. In 2003, he successfully pitched the jamband specialty program Toast-n-Jam to KBAC mastermind Ira Gordon, and that show has been running ever since. Chris is a fan of many antiquated “analog” arts, including radio, vinyl, film, photography, stage acting, comic books, table games, homebrewing, and rock’n’roll.
In 2005, Ira Gordon, the Program Director for KBAC, appointed Lisa Clark as the host of the Friday Funk. Not only did he give her the show, but a new name she reluctantly accepted. LisaC The Motherfunker has been spinning old school Funk, Soul, R&B, and Hip Hop ever since. Call in requests keeps this show lively, interactive, and a popular favorite with the listeners.
