Hutton Broadcasting’s Publishing Department is seeking a full-time multimedia specialist. This person will work closely with the director of publishing on projects such as developing content and managing advertising for Hutton’s City Sites: SantaFe.com, LasCruces.com, Albuquerque.com, and Ruidoso.com, and related newsletters and social media. The department also develops and manages client-related content for both Hutton and client sites.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in journalism or communication studies and be highly proficient in writing and proofreading skills, have familiarity with Adobe software such as Photoshop, be able to create basic advertising pieces in Adobe software or Canva, and have a working knowledge of WordPress.
This position also requires writing social media posts and weekly newsletters. The candidate must be willing to learn additional skills as needed for the completion of duties, such as best practices in writing articles for SEO.
This job requires a highly organized and motivated person who can work remotely while staying in regular contact with other members of the team. As this department also manages other functions for the Las Cruces area of Hutton Broadcasting, there are always “other duties as assigned” that will require completion.
