Hutton Broadcasting of Santa Fe, New Mexico, on August 1, 2023, completed the purchase of nine radio stations in Farmington, Durango, and Cortez from American General Media. With FCC approval and the transfer of ownership of the stations, Hutton Broadcasting has expanded its services into northwest New Mexico and Colorado.

Four Corners Radio
These nine stations will join the six already owned and operated by Hutton Broadcasting in Santa Fe. The stations included in the purchase are:
Farmington: KISZ KISS Country; KENN News Talk; KRWN Rock; KPRT Pirate Radio
Durango: KKDG Contemporary Hit Radio; KDGO Durango News/Talk; KPTE The Point
Cortez: KRTZ Adult Contemporary; KVFC News and Talk
Director of Operations and Programming for the Four Corners-area stations, Kelly Turner, said, “I’ve been working in radio broadcasting in the Four Corners region for more than 33 years and I’ve seen the evolution of this industry.” He continued, “I’m really enthusiastic about the potential for these stations in the Four Corners region! Hutton is a family company, but with next-generation technology and resources, and it’s a pleasure to be part of that.”
The radio stations’ clients will now be able to take advantage of the wide range of services offered by Hutton Broadcasting, including video production, digital marketing, and much more. Advertising inquiries will continue to be handled through the existing staff at each station group, working with Hutton Broadcasting’s vice-president of sales, Art Trujillo.
Hutton Broadcasting started with a group of six radio stations in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 2007 and has evolved into a multichannel communicator and solutions provider for small businesses. It operates hyperlocal marketing channels in Santa Fe, Las Cruces, Los Alamos, Ruidoso, and now the Four Corners.
Hutton Broadcasting’s collection of city websites includes SantaFe.com, LasCruces.com, Ruidoso.com and, soon to launch, Albuquerque.com. Hutton Digital Display screens in Santa Fe, Los Alamos, and Las Cruces, as well as the company’s hotel channels, show short films created by Hutton Video Productions. Hutton Broadcasting owns 15 radio stations in New Mexico and Colorado and Traction Works, a digital marketing service. The publishing department produces the Santa Fe Indian Market Artist Directory and Booth Guide in cooperation with SWAIA.
